Description

This product was developed exclusively for the BMW R 1300 GS and is based on years of experience with the BMW GS series and its boxer engines. A silencer with a double-flow design made of lightweight titanium and a hand-made carbon end cap ensure a weight saving of 9.3% compared to the standard equipment. The silencer has been designed for improved performance and enhanced sound attenuation to reduce the impact on the environment while producing a deep, rich sound. A specially profiled surface of the silencer provides additional strength and durability and is finished with an engraved logo. Power and torque increase by 1.4 kW (1.9 hp) at 7,600 rpm and 4.5 Nm at 2,300 rpm. These values were determined on the Akrapovič test bench in comparison to a BMW R 1300 GS with a standard exhaust system. The system is EC/ECE type-tested, and the simple plug-and-play installation means that no mapping is required. Once installed, the system is fully compatible with BMW Motorrad side cases.
