The batteries are filled with diluted sulfuric acid, through which the current flows from the negative to the positive electrode when current is drawn. -maintenance-free, due to low water consumption -long service life during standing and storage periods due to low self-discharge -high performance, due to good charge absorption and good cold start performance -longer service life, important for vehicles with high electrical power throughput, due to optimization for cyclic loading -high robustness against corrosion and internal short circuits due to high quality alloys -stable at low and high temperatures -optimal safety against acid leakage and deflagration due to special cover design -optimal recyclability due to the resistance of the robust, impact-resistant polypropylene housing to acid, benzene, oil and seawater -Increased safety against short-circuits due to the complex tong welding process, in which connections are made through the cell walls -Prevention of deflagration of the resulting oxyhydrogen gases in the battery, as a central degassing system selectively discharges the gases produced in the battery.
