Description

Original BMW batteries with calcium technology are matched to the capacity and necessity of BMW models without EfficientDynamics functions. The batteries are filled with diluted sulfuric acid, through which the current flows from the negative to the positive electrode when current is drawn. -maintenance-free, due to low water consumption -long service life during standing and storage periods due to low self-discharge -high performance, due to good charge absorption and good cold start performance -longer service life, important for vehicles with high electrical power throughput, due to optimization for cyclic loads -high robustness against corrosion and internal short circuits due to high quality alloys -stable at low and high temperatures -optimal safety against acid leakage and deflagration due to special cover design -optimal recyclability due to the resistance of the robust, impact-resistant polypropylene housing to acid, benzene, oil and seawater -Increased safety against short-circuits due to the complex tong welding process, in which connections are made through the cell walls -Prevention of deflagration of the resulting oxyhydrogen gases in the battery, as a central degassing system selectively discharges the gases produced in the battery
