Description
The Original BMW retrofit Speed Limit Info (SA 8TH) shows the driver the current speed limit in the instrument cluster or optionally in the Head-Up Display (SA 610). A camera in the base of the interior mirror monitors traffic signs, notices next to as well as above the roadside and takes into account information from the navigation system. In built-up areas, for example, the valid speed is displayed even without a traffic sign. The system can pass on variable speed limits - for example, in wet conditions, at night, at road works or for speed suspension signs - to the driver in line with the situation. In vehicles from model year 03/2010, the optional equipment camera-based lane departure warning (SA 5AD) and navigation system Professional (SA 609) must be fitted. Cannot be retrofitted in vehicles with radar-based lane departure warning (SA 5AG) or high beam assistant (SA 5AC).
