Description
From the race track straight to the road. The lightweight sports exhaust system made entirely of titanium produces a rich, powerful sound. It was developed specifically for the 5-series M models. Visually, the two 92mm twin tailpipes made of polished titanium with M logo lend an unmistakable and striking appearance. The perforated inner pipes show a maximum of high-tech, sportiness and highlight the individual character traits of the BMW M. Optimized exhaust routing with reduced backpressure enhances the characterful V8 Twin Turbo sound and underscores the sporty driving feel. The muffler system was developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology and is a cooperative project between BMW and Akrapovic. This ensures an optimal fit and manufacturer quality. The silencer system can be installed simply by screwing, welding is not necessary. Lightweight: The titanium silencer system is 28% (10kg) lighter than the stock component. Due to the material property of titanium, the tailpipe trims turn yellowish/blue with increasing temperature load.
