With the Navigation Portable HD Traffic, BMW offers an innovative navigation system including a map of Europe and HD Traffic real-time traffic reports at home and abroad. The pre-installed Europe road map covers 45 Western and Eastern European countries. HD Traffic and other Internet-based travel services such as TripAdvisor or Google Search are available free of charge for 12 months with the integrated SIM card. You can benefit from LIVE(*) services in over 30 European countries. (*The available services may vary!) The mobile navigation device with the 5 inch (13 cm) display is perfectly integrated into the interior of the vehicle without visible cables. Output of the navigation instructions and hands-free operation is via the vehicle speakers. The voice-controlled destination input also facilitates handling. The navigation device has a BMW start screen, BMW vehicle icons and a BMW dealer directory that allows you to conveniently locate the nearest BMW dealer in the area. Local search with Google: Use the local Google search function to find various topical destinations such as restaurants, hotels or stores near the current position. Weather: The navigation device receives regional and 5-day weather forecasts, so you can take the current weather conditions into account when planning your trip. HD Traffic: Most accurate traffic information updated every two minutes. That's up to seven times more frequently than any other navigation device. No delays, because with HD Traffic you're smarter than the traffic jams. And thanks to comprehensive road coverage, you drive stress-free, all over Europe. The device also has a slot for an SD memory card and Bluetooth hands-free. The output of navigation instructions via the vehicle speakers can only be activated by coding in vehicles built from 09/2007 onwards. Coding is not possible in the BMW X3 SAV, so the speaker integrated in the navigation device must be used here!
