Description

The Wallbox Plus is a home charging station for all Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). The charging station for your home. With the permanently installed Wallbox Plus charges the electrified vehicle quickly, reliably and conveniently with up to 22 kW. In addition to its compact dimensions in BMW or MINI design, the Wallbox Plus also offers convenient cable management. To ensure that the Wallbox works safely and reliably, it must be installed and connected by a qualified electrician. Depending on the country, the relevant country-specific regulations must be observed and complied with when connecting. Valid for all fully and partially electrically powered BMW Group vehicles and vehicles that comply with the IEC61851-1 2017 standard or newer. -Safe and fast charging: Compared to the Flexible Fast Charger with household adapter supplied with the vehicle, the Wallbox achieves a significantly shorter charging time. (See also "Notes".) -Easy operation and convenient cable management: The cable can be hung on the cable holder and there is also a plug holder. -Design and function: The wallbox is space-saving and compactly dimensioned and made of robust, weatherproof materials for indoor and outdoor use. -Cost-effective installation: DC fault detection is already integrated in the wallbox and therefore contributes to significant savings in installation costs. -Plug & Play: When the plug is connected to the vehicle, the charging process starts automatically without any further operating steps being necessary. -Access control via RFID: With the enclosed RFID cards, the end customer can optionally decide who can use the wallbox. -Intelligent load management: The charging power of the wallbox adapts dynamically to the residual consumption in the house and thus prevents overloading at the grid connection point. (*In conjunction with Smart Meter). -Connected Home Charging Services: Compatible with CHCS and therefore solar and load-optimized charging as well as wallbox management available via MY BMW app. * Customer service can be called via the BMW Group Connected Drive Call Center in the event of a fault - the perfect one-stop service. -The Wallbox Plus was developed for 3-phase charging. Safety -All installed components are certified according to international standards and tested by the BMW Group. -Together with a partner, the BMW Group offers expert installation by an electrician. -The wallbox offers a high level of safety across all countries by meeting all country-specific requirements as well as electrical protection class IP65 and mechanical protection class IK09. The wallbox contains all safety-related modules for safe and reliable charging of the vehicle. Functionality -The wallbox can be flexibly and easily connected to the domestic power supply. Pre-air conditioning of the vehicle: The temperature in the vehicle can be preset. In the morning, the customer finds his vehicle charged and already pre-heated or pre-cooled. The energy required for this is provided via the wallbox when the vehicle is connected and is thus saved during the journey - to maximize the range. -The status display of the wallbox is shown by an LED bar on the front of the wallbox. Thanks to this display on the wallbox, the customer can always keep an eye on the current charging status, even from a distance. -The Wallbox Installation App can be used to keep the Wallbox up to date, change a variety of settings and call up the current device status at any time. It also provides information and troubleshooting tips. Notes: -*The BMW Wallbox Plus will be available from December 2023 for selected markets in an intelligent Connected Home Charging Package via our market-specific partners. In addition to the BMW Wallbox Plus, the package will include a smart meter for using the BMW Connected Home Charging Services and a full-service installation of all necessary components. -*Use only possible with a BMW xEV, a BMW ID account and the My BMW app: Service must be extended in the BMW Connected Drive Store on a market-specific basis. Technical requirement: Purchase and professional installation and setup of all necessary components (see Wallbox manual). -As hybrid and electric vehicles are designed for specific charging capacities, the charging speeds differ depending on the vehicle. -IEC variant (International Electrotechnical Commission): To ensure that the wallbox works safely and reliably in the domestic power circuit, it must be installed and connected by a specialist installer. Depending on the country, country-specific regulations must be observed and complied with when connecting.
