The steering wheel rim for vehicles with Steptronic is completely covered with Alcantara and flattened at the bottom... But the highlight here is a display centered in the upper steering wheel segment. Via an OLED and two LED displays, you can call up a wide range of driving efficiency and motorsport-relevant functions. They can be conveniently controlled with the aid of control buttons in the thumb rests. You can choose between three different modes: ECO, Sport and Race. The LED displays can be used to show the optimum shift points in all three modes. In ECO mode, additional differentiated displays are available for a consumption-optimized driving style. Sport mode includes a stopwatch with display of the current consumption values and a g-meter for displaying the current acceleration, including a memory function. Race mode features a laptimer with various stop and memory functions. A lap trigger is also available as an option. Using an infrared transmitter and receiver, lap times can thus be measured automatically and extremely accurately. In addition, the Race mode offers various acceleration measurements such as the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h** or the US quarter mile race. All three modes also display the water temperature or, in the case of gasoline engines, the oil temperature as well. Attention. For vehicles with basic steering wheel, the airbag module and the MF buttons must be changed to fit the sports steering wheel. When installed, the steering wheel heating is omitted.
