This opens up many new connections: Talking to each other, making phone calls, listening to your favorite music and staying perfectly on course via the connection with the BMW Motorrad Navigator - that's what a contemporary communication system has to do today. And all this without having to take your eyes off the road. You'll experience it for yourself: With the BMW Motorrad communication system, riding pleasure and safety reach a new dimension. The BMW Motorrad communication system is mechanically tailored specifically to the BMW Motorrad System Helmet 6. The control module with its three operating buttons is shaped to perfectly fit the contours of the new BMW Motorrad helmet. It is available in two sizes - analogous to the helmet shell. Of course, all other components such as the microphone holder and strain relief also match the geometry of the BMW Motorrad System 6 helmet, so that the new communication system can be installed simply and easily. NiMH rechargeable batteries are responsible for powering the system, providing a continuous operating time of ten to twelve hours. The BMW Motorrad communication system is designed primarily for communication between rider and passenger. Nevertheless, motorcycle-to-motorcycle conversation is possible with certain restrictions. Depending on the riding situation, the system can bridge a distance of between 30 and 100 meters in a direct line-of-sight situation. This is quite sufficient in many driving situations. However, this function depends on the ambient conditions. The battery is not included in the scope of delivery. This system is suitable up to helmet size 58/59.
