Description

The electronic driver's logbook from BMW is characterized by its simple operation in the vehicle. A unit installed invisibly in the vehicle stores all relevant data and passes it on to a small key fob. In the vehicle, only the type of trip (business, way to work, private) has to be selected by pressing a button. The PC readout unit reads the key fob and stores the data in a database. On the PC, the starting point and destination of each trip can be displayed on a map - with map material of D / A / CH - and the address is automatically assigned. The percentage distribution between private and business trips can be checked. The logbook printout for the tax office is done directly from the PC program. By keeping a logbook and submitting it to the tax office, the actual percentage of private use can be conclusively proven. Instead of a lump-sum taxation ("one rule"), an individually calculated monetary value of the private use is determined here. This usually results in a much lower amount than with the flat-rate 1% taxation.
