Secure hold and yet flexible: The innovative 3M adhesive allows the holder to be permanently attached to the windshield, but can be easily removed again without leaving any residue. This means that the smartphone holder can continue to be used after the windshield has been replaced or can be attached in a new vehicle. Universal charging station: With its integrated USB interface, the holder allows the smartphone to be charged in the vehicle. Integrated interactivity: The NFC chip (Near Field Communication) in the Samsung holder makes it possible. As soon as the NFC-enabled smartphone is inserted into the cradle, the BMW Wireless app is automatically activated. This enables vehicle-optimized operation and playback of music/telephony via Bluetooth over the vehicle speakers (e.g. with Samsung™ Galaxy S3). The app is available free of charge in the iTunes Store and the Google Play Store. Notice: -BMW recommends mounting the smartphone holder as far as possible on the lower left of the windshield. -The packaging unit contains everything you need to attach and charge the smartphone. -If the smartphone is to be charged while driving, the USB cable can be connected to the 12 V on-board socket. -The smartphone holder can optionally be installed without visible wiring by the BMW partner, for this the installation kit "adapter power supply (12V)" is required. -Installation time approx. 0.75h.
