Description

This high-quality, lightweight titanium system with hand-crafted carbon tailpipes weighs 35% less than the stock system and features a pair of collectors cast in Akrapovič's in-house foundry. The Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system comes with a specially developed Akrapovič Control Kit for a complete sound experience. The sound character offers a rich tone during normal driving and increases to a deep, sporty sound when the M3/M4 is driven more dynamically. The system delivers a perfect sound at all engine speeds and offers comfort and sportiness in one exhaust system. For the tailpipes, a ground-breaking octagonal shape has been developed in lightweight titanium with a carbon outer shell, and for more traditional buyers there is the classic cylindrical design. The system delivers a power increase of 8.0 kW (10.9 hp) at 6,000 rpm and a torque increase of 13.9 Nm at 5,000 rpm when tested on the Akrapovič dyno with a BMW M4 Competition with standard production exhaust. No remapping is required for this configuration and it fits all vehicles (OPF and non-OPF), but the ECE certificate is only valid for vehicles with OPF filters. Optional connecting pipes and downpipes are available for customers who wish to convert the exhaust for closed-circuit use. An optional Akrapovič sound kit is also available. The ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) expires with the installation of the optional connecting pipes, downpipes and the Akrapovič Sound Kit. An optional handmade carbon fiber rear diffuser is also available to add visual impact to the Akrapovič tailpipes.The exhaust system also fits the xDrive, CSL, LCI , M3 Touring (G81), M4 (G83) Competition and Cabrio models. The Slip-On Line exhaust system (titanium) has ECE type approval for vehicles with a petrol/gasoline particulate filter.The tailpipe set (carbon) must be ordered separately as a mandatory part.
