The snap-in adapter MUSIC includes, in addition to the charging function and the antenna coupling, the function to play music stored on the iPhone. Get in, insert, start. In just one step, you can experience the personal communication and entertainment program of your smartphone in the vehicle. In addition to fast charging of your cell phone, the snap-in adapter also ensures safe and stable storage of the device. The inductive coupling of the external antenna ensures optimal network reception - even in areas with poor network coverage. Four variants of the snap-in adapter are offered for the iPhone 5/5s/SE respectively: Basic, Connect, Music and Media. These products are vehicle-specific, so there is no freedom of choice between the individual variants. This product is not suitable for the iPhone 5C. -The snap-in adapter offers a particularly fast, optimized charging function: as soon as the cell phone is inserted in the snap-in adapter, it is charged twice as fast compared to the USB socket. -Safely stored: The Snap-In adapter is a stable and safe storage system for your smartphone. -All snap-in adapters have been certified according to Apple's "Made for iPhone" (MFI) guidelines, ensuring optimal interaction between the connected Apple device and the vehicle. -Personal entertainment on board: A USB interface is integrated into the snap-in adapter. The stored music tracks can thus be conveniently operated and played via the music player (depending on the vehicle equipment). Playback takes place via the vehicle loudspeaker system. -The vehicle display can show the album cover of the music track currently being played (depending on vehicle equipment and year of manufacture). This allows songs to be immediately assigned to an album or artist ("cover art"). -With the free BMW app, interesting additional functions such as web radio, Last Mile, Facebook and Twitter access can be used in the vehicle. This app is available through the Apple App Store. The use of the app in vehicles depends on the year of manufacture and the equipment. -Elegant design: the chrome-look buttons give the snap-in adapter its high-quality look. Functionality: The Apple iPhone 5/5s/SE has a special connector plug (Lightning). The snap-in adapter for the iPhone 5/5s/SE is designed to fit this perfectly. Since the iPhone 5/5s/SE does not provide an analog audio signal at the Lightning connector, this signal is generated in the Snap-In Adapter Music and Media. The Snap-In Adapter Music has an integrated fan. This is specially designed to protect the temperature-sensitive area of the iPhone 5/5s/SE from overheating by circulating air. This can delay a premature temperature-based shutdown of the device. Specifications: The iPhone 5/5s/SE does not support video function on the connector side, therefore video playback in the vehicle is not possible. The development status of the control units and the vehicle model series determine which variant can be used. The exact use of the individual variant depends on the respective SA combination (optional equipment). The Music variant supports the telephony, charging and entertainment functions by means of analog audio signals and title display.
