Depending on the year of manufacture and equipment of the vehicle, there are different variants of the snap-in adapter. In order to be able to use the various functions, corresponding optional equipment is required. In addition to the basic function, the Connect variant supports entertainment via digital audio signals as well as title display, cover art and apps. Best connection: The snap-in adapter connects the iPhone to the vehicle's external antenna. This ensures the best possible network reception, even in areas with poor network coverage. The snap-in adapter offers a particularly fast, optimized charging function. In addition, this variant can be used in all vehicles without S6NSA and without S6NFA (=music interface for smartphone). -The new snap-in adapter Connect Univeral is suitable for all Apple iPhone devices with Lightning connector. Thus, the devices 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6S and 6S Plus can be used. -Fan function: The snap-in adapter has an integrated fan. This is designed to ensure that the temperature-sensitive area of the smartphone is not overheated by air circulation. This can delay or even prevent a premature temperature-based shutdown of the device. -Good connections: The snap-in adapter connects the phone to the vehicle's external antenna. This ensures the best possible network reception. -The Snap-In Adapter offers a particularly fast, optimal charging function. Technical Information Features: Depending on the vehicle model, the space available in the center console varies. Due to the different dimensions of the individual cell phones, it is necessary to check in advance whether the space is sufficient for the use of the corresponding device. A measurement is possible with the snap-in adapter and the respective end device. To avoid any conflict with the connection cable, the retaining clip can be moved to different positions or, if necessary, removed completely. The connection to the external antenna not only improves the reception and transmission performance, but also reduces the radiation in the vehicle interior. Functionality: Prior to initial setup, the included cable must be connected to the back of the adapter and routed up over the cutout. The cell phone is then connected to the Lightning connector and then slid under the retaining clip. Once the driver has placed the smartphone in the snap-in adapter, a connection to the external antenna is established via a non-contact antenna connection (coupling antenna).
