Trailer coupling with detachable ball head. A special feature compared with the competition's offerings is the trailer stability control: the vehicle's standard DSC dynamic control takes into account the special conditions of driving with a trailer and thus increases safety. For this reason, retrofitting is always accompanied by coding of the control electronics by the dealer. It also has the effect of deactivating any electronic parking aid that may be present when reverse gear is engaged in trailer mode. The trailer stability control is a system integrated in the DSC and is activated via the assignment of the socket at the rear. Retrofit not possible on 5 Series Touring vehicles with: Engine Continuous Shift or Emergency Vehicle Open or Emergency Vehicle Camouflaged or Integral Active Steering.
