The trailer coupling with electrically pivoting ball head can be extended and retracted fully electrically at the push of a button. Trailer stability control, a system integrated in DSC, is activated by occupying the socket at the rear. Depending on the engine, towing loads of 2,700 kg up to 3,500 kg are possible. Please note that on F86 models, the Smart Opener (SMO) is permanently deactivated after retrofitting the trailer hitch.
