The Wallbox Pure is a home charging station for BMW i electric vehicles and BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles. It allows you to charge your vehicle safely, quickly and conveniently on your own at home. The Wallbox Pure was developed taking into account numerous customer requirements and the experience of the 1st generation of BMW i electric vehicles. Furthermore, attention was paid to ergonomics, design and material, safety and sustainable production. Not included in the scope of delivery are the cabling from the house installation to the wallbox pure as well as the fuse protection. This is specific to each market and connection case and is determined by the installer on site. Ergonomics: -Maximum charging comfort: the high cable attachment eliminates the need to wind and unwind the cable. Bending and dirty hands are thus avoided. -The lower storage area provides space for the car key or other items. -Plug & Play: Similar to petrol stations, the charging cable hangs next to the Wallbox Pure, this can be removed with one hand and plugged into the vehicle. Charging then starts automatically, without the need for any further operating steps. The high-quality rubberized handle of the vehicle plug is ergonomically shaped and sits comfortably and non-slip in the hand. Design and Material: -The ergonomic and high-quality design is characterized by selected, high-quality and environmentally friendly materials. The housing contains recycled material and is made of durable, weather-resistant plastic. -The high-quality multi-layer paint finish of the exterior parts meets the highest demands: It protects the Wallbox Pure permanently and contributes to a harmonious image with the vehicle. -Weatherproof: The Wallbox pure can be permanently mounted inside and outside. -Winner of the iF product design award 2014. Dynamic lines, winding surfaces and the characteristic "Stream Flow" design create a seamless experience. Safety: -All installed components are certified to international standards and tested by BMW (i). -All-in-one BMW service: you can take advantage of professional advice from a BMW (i) employee, the BMW (i) installation service and through the BMW (i) hotline. -BMW (i), together with a partner (Deutsche Telekom Technischer Service GmbH), offers expert installation by a BMW (i) electrical installer. -The installation of the BMW i Wallbox pure is not without risk. An incorrect procedure here can also result in damage to the BMW i Wallbox. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary that you have the installation, initial start-up and maintenance of the BMW i Wallbox carried out by appropriately trained, qualified and authorized electricians. Only then will the warranty be fully valid. If the installation is carried out independently or by another service provider, BMW (i) shall not assume any liability in the event of damage. -A voucher is required for installation. You can obtain this voucher and all other information from our customer service. The Wallbox Pure offers a high level of safety across all countries by meeting all country-specific requirements, as well as the electrical protection class IP54 and the mechanical protection class IK08. The Wallbox Pure contains all safety-related modules for safe and reliable charging of the vehicle. Sustainable production: -The supplier with the world's longest experience in electric vehicle charging and a certification for sustainable production is responsible for the development of the Wallbox Pure. -The electronic components are manufactured in the USA for the American market and in France for the European market. This shortens transport distances and saves CO². -Sustainable mobility: The environmentally conscious image of electric vehicles is transferred to BMW i and plug-in hybrid drivers. Functionality: -Compared to the supplied OUC base cable, the charging speed increases by up to 25%. -The wallbox can be locked with the integrated key switch. The vehicle continues to charge. Meanwhile, the wallbox is protected from outside use. -Manual charge interruption: the start/stop button can be used to stop or interrupt the charging of the vehicle. The vehicle can be unplugged briefly without using the vehicle's radio remote control. -Wallbox Pure supports the specific function "time-controlled charging". This makes it possible to charge vehicles exclusively at certain times and thus take advantage of particularly favorable electricity rates, for example. -Vehicle pre-conditioning: The temperature in the vehicle can be preset. In the morning, you will find your vehicle charged and already pre-heated or -cooled. -The energy required for this is provided by the wallbox when the vehicle is connected and thus saved during the journey - to maximize the range. -The status display of the wallbox is shown by an illuminated ring around the start/stop button. The display on the wallbox means you can always see the current charging status, even from a greater distance. -The NFC transponder under the BMW i logo allows you to start the BMW i Remote App directly (also freely programmable).
