You control the functions of the Wallbox Pro through the integrated 7-inch touchscreen and the intuitive user administration. The highest possible use of your own electricity (e.g. by integrating a solar system) is possible, as is connectivity to a smart home system. Aspects that have a positive impact on the cost situation and ultimately ensure a sustainable charging experience. In addition to the touchscreen, characteristic features of the Wallbox Pro are the luminous strips integrated into the sides and the anthracite-colored effect paint, which gives the Wallbox Pro even more independence and dynamism. -The Wallbox Pro allows the creation of up to three user accounts, each with two user profiles. -Detailed documentation of the charging history is possible - so it can be checked how much has been charged and by which user. -Use of own electricity: The Wallbox Pro makes charging with self-produced electricity possible through the intelligent integration of e.g. a private solar system. -Smart Home: A connection to Smart Home systems is possible. Currently, the systems of myGEKKO and Loxone are supported. -Load management: The Wallbox Pro always charges with the maximum amount of electricity available in the house. The integrated control ensures that an overload in the house is avoided. -Shortened charging time: With a high charging power of up to 7.4 kW, the charging time is significantly reduced. -The proximity sensor reacts to movements and the user interface is activated automatically. -The Wallbox Pro is operated intuitively via the color touch screen. -Light strips: The LED light strips on the side of the Wallbox Pro indicate the current charging status and make it visible even from a distance. -One-handed operation: The position of the plug on the Wallbox Pro is placed at an ergonomically favorable height. With just one hand, the plug can be removed from the Wallbox Pro and plugged into the vehicle. Charging then starts automatically, without the need for any further operating steps (if the PIN code query is inactive). -High cable attachment: The high attachment of the 3.5-meter charging cable allows operation without cumbersome coiling - similar to refueling at a gas pump. Bending down and dirty hands are thus avoided. -The large operating radius enables flexible parking positions. With a length of 3.5 meters, the highly flexible charging cable enables convenient parking positions at the Wallbox Pro. This makes parking to charge the vehicle much easier. Design and material: -The Wallbox Pro's color touch screen is a central design element that gives the Wallbox Pro a forward-looking character. In terms of user guidance and conception, this was developed analogously to the familiar BMW operating concept. -High-quality: The plug holder in rich black, surrounded by a chrome ring, gives the Wallbox Pro a noble look. -The front of the Wallbox Pro, painted in anthracite effect paint, meets the highest demands: The paint protects the Wallbox Pro permanently and contributes to a harmonious image with the vehicle. -The ergonomic and high-quality design is characterized by selected, high-quality and environmentally friendly materials. The housing is made of resistant plastic and contains recycled material. Functionality: -Consumptions and evaluations always at a glance: The user administration of the Wallbox Pro enables different evaluations of the charging history according to the amount of charged electricity for own and mains power - for example, a private and professional profile can be created for each user account, which reflects the different charging habits. The consumption values of the three users can be e-mailed to third parties for reimbursement of electricity costs as part of government subsidies or business car use. This guarantees simple billing of the electricity costs incurred, e.g. via the ChargeNow connection. -Optimal use of self-generated electricity: The Wallbox Pro makes charging with self-generated electricity possible through the intelligent integration of e.g. a private solar system. If solar power is available, it is used intelligently by the Wallbox Pro. -Clever and sustainable: The Wallbox Pro can be intelligently and easily connected to a smart home system from myGEKKO and thus fully integrated into the household. This enables automated control and efficient provision of charging current for the Wallbox Pro. Unnecessary load peaks are thus avoided and, at the same time, the available in-house power is used efficiently. -Furthermore, if your Wallbox Pro is connected to a Smart Home system, you can call up a weather forecast with visual display as well as daily high and low temperatures and frost warnings for the current day and the next two days. -Smart Home Link: Already from the touch screen of the Wallbox Pro in the garage, the connection to myGEKKO in the house is established. Up to eight functionalities can be configured on the SHS and automatically duplicated on the Wallbox Pro. For example, the lighting of the driveway can be activated via the touchscreen. Through so-called scenario functions, a series of previously defined actions can be controlled with a symbol print. -Thought-out: Thanks to intelligent load management, the Wallbox Pro always uses the maximum available power. The load of the household connection is clearly displayed on the touchscreen. During consumption peaks in the household, the charging power of the Wallbox Pro is dynamically adjusted. Furthermore, valuable conclusions and recommendations for action regarding user behavior can be derived through this function. The energy distribution can thus be better estimated and the use of the electrical consumers in the household can be optimally adjusted. -For individualization, each user can choose between profile and vehicle icons. These, along with other personal data and settings, are stored in the corresponding user accounts. -The Wallbox Pro speaks many languages: Operation is possible in 15 different languages, which can be easily selected via the settings menu. -Particularly secure: The Wallbox Pro is securely protected against unauthorized use thanks to the optional PIN code query for each user. -Practical: The proximity sensor automatically switches the Wallbox Pro to active mode as soon as it is approached. -Check charging status via smartphone: An NFC transponder is integrated behind the BMW i logo on the Wallbox Pro. If the user holds an NFC-enabled smartphone in front of the logo, the BMW i Remote app opens and allows the charging status to be queried. If no BMW i Remote app has been programmed yet, the app is automatically forwarded to the App Store. Safety: -The Wallbox Pro meets all country-specific requirements, as well as electrical protection class IP54 and mechanical protection class IK10. The Wallbox Pro thus offers a high level of security across countries. -All installed components are certified according to international standards. -The installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. BMW offers the Wallbox Pro installation service together with a partner (Deutsche Telekom Technischer Service GmbH). -The installation of the BMW i Wallbox pure is not without risk. An incorrect procedure here can also result in damage to the BMW i Wallbox. It is therefore essential that you have the installation, initial start-up and maintenance of the BMW i Wallbox carried out by appropriately trained, qualified and authorized electricians. Only then will the warranty be fully valid.
