The Snap-In Adapter Universal is suitable for all smartphones with USB Type C connector (USB-C). The USB-C connector is smaller than its predecessors and is built into all newer devices. The new snap-in adapter can always be used if no specific matching snap-in adapter is offered for the corresponding cell phone. Get in, insert, get going: With the Snap-In Adapter Universal, you can experience your personal communication and entertainment program from the cell phone directly in the vehicle. In addition to the fast charging of the smartphone, it is also kept safe and stable by the retaining bracket. The inductive coupling with the external antenna ensures optimal network reception - even in areas with moderate to poor network coverage. -A true all-rounder: The new Snap-In Adapter Universal is suitable for all cell phones with the novel USB-C connector and therefore covers a wide range of new models from different manufacturers. -Elegant appearance: The mounting bracket is made of chrome and black matt plastic. These materials make it appear particularly high-quality. The noble BMW lettering further promotes this feature. -The rubberized support surface ensures the safe and stable storage of your cell phone in the vehicle. -Easy to use: the cable is plugged into the back of the adapter during initial setup and then guided upwards over the recess. -The smartphone is now connected to the cable and then pushed under the retaining bracket. This slowly lowers onto the device in a damped manner. Since the bracket is rubberized on the underside, scratching of the display is prevented. -The supplied cable was developed by BMW specially and accurately fit with regard to the electrical properties. Thanks to the high-quality shielding, a good transmission without noise is ensured. -Personal entertainment program on board: The music tracks stored on your smartphone can- thanks to the integrated USB interface in the adapter- be conveniently operated and played via the music player (depending on the vehicle equipment). The playback takes place via the speaker system of your vehicle. Likewise, album covers of the currently played music title can be displayed in the vehicle display (depending on vehicle equipment and year of manufacture). This makes it easier to assign individual tracks to an album or artist at a glance ("cover art"). -Fast, optimized charging function: As soon as the device is inserted in the Snap-In Adapter Universal, it is charged twice as fast as in the USB socket. -The cell phone is connected to the vehicle's external antenna through the Snap-In Adapter Universal. This ensures the best possible network reception - especially in areas with poor network coverage. -The BMW app "BMW Connected" allows you to check news, Wiki Local, calendar entries and Facebook. The app is available free of charge in the Google Play Store and can be used for vehicles from the production date 03/2013, with the equipment BMW ConnectedDrive SA 6NR (BMW Apps). In addition, for technical reasons, vehicle compatibility is only available for some smartphones for the time being. They are required in vehicles with SA 6NS (comfort telephony with enhanced smartphone connectivity) that use a digital audio signal only. -Depending on the vehicle model, the space available in the center console varies. Due to the different dimensions of the individual cell phones, it must be checked in advance whether the space is sufficient for the use of the corresponding device.
