Description

The S4007 or TX4007 brake pad (new product designation from F90 vehicles) is derived from a proven long-distance racing pad used in racing. It was specially developed with regard to increased thermal performance and meets the requirements of ECE-R 13H (legal requirement in many countries). The following, significantly different properties compared to the standard brake pad are urgent to note: -Diminished comfort: the brake pad can cause significantly more noise. However, the function is not restricted by this. -The design of the brake force distribution is race-oriented. This means that dynamic steering on the brakes is supported and differs significantly from the standard configuration. -Increased stress on the brake discs: Due to the changed friction mechanisms, the brake disc wears faster. Therefore, it is recommended that the brake disc is also replaced when this brake pad is installed. It is absolutely necessary to replace the brake disc in the case of cracks from 13 mm even before the brake pad wears out. Safety instructions: Installation only in conjunction with new brake discs (the brake discs of the M vehicles are all perforated)! Due to the special properties, the lining reacts even more sensitively to external influences such as rim cleaner, road salt and parking the vehicle with wet brake disc. Therefore, operation in winter is not recommended. Likewise, direct spraying of brake pad and disc with rim cleaner is to be avoided.
