The M Performance shift paddles are covered with a 1K carbon fabric instead of the standard chrome surface and retain their open-pored structure. The shift paddles can be installed for all steering wheels on all vehicles with sports automatic transmission or automatic transmission with shift paddles. Material information: The carbon components are qualified according to applicable BMW standards. This is the only way to ensure that the high requirements, e.g. with regard to aging and temperature resistance, are met without cracking or paint peeling from the substrate and that yellowing of the matrix is avoided. This high degree of manual work and qualification effort is responsible for the price.
